SmartFlow Technologies systems are used to process food and farm digester outflows to segregate the nutrient rich stream into High P paste and High N,K permeate fractions. In food digester applications, the separated products can be dried and sold as fertilizers. On farms, by segregating the P from the N,K nutrients the correct plant nutrients can be applied to crops when they are required or best utilized by the plants. This avoids run off of the underutilized nutrients and potential ground water contamination caused by unused nutrients accumulating in the aquifers. In addition to the nutrient fractionation, the N,K fraction can be further processed to provide a nutrient rich concentrate and water for reuse. ConSep^® based filtration systems do not require the use of polymers or additives to achieve these products.

The videos demonstrate the capability of the ConSep^® platform rather than a particular customer application. The ConSep^® platform is linearly scalable, so these and similar nutrient recovery processes can be scaled to any production volume.
