SmartFlow Technologies has a long history in supplying systems for fermentation based product recovery. By using the ConSep® based filtration systems customer have been able to eliminate the costly processes of centrifugation or evaporation. Numerous customers have found improvements in heat sensitive products by these systems.
During the course of meeting these customer's needs, SmartFlow has developed the patented DiaSync® system that combines product recovery and product concentration into an integrated system. One of the major benefits of the DiaSync® system is that the permeate from the product concentration step is fed back to the product recovery steps thereby eliminating the need to produce hundreds of thousands of liters of diafiltration buffer to effectively harvest the product from the fermentation broth.
